This series is a collection of moments found within my garden, and my mother's. Moments of beauty, color, connection and experimentation…and lessons in patience. While the sculpted canvas substrate is familiar, the rest has been unfamiliar territory. A series of 44 paintings, composed in a grid that was ambitious to undertake. Generally, I gain color inspiration from the emotional landscape. For these pieces, it was the physical: visual references from the plants in my garden and my mom's as color inspiration.

Ultimately, I hope the small scale of these sculptures brings an intimate physicality. I hope they are placed carefully, looked at closely. As they, my mother, and my garden have for me, I hope they provide solace.
